If you're sure air in the system is the culprit, you're on the right track with bleeding the pump. If you get fuel without bubbles at the pump, next bleed the injectors. Open the lines just enough to let the air bleed out, open the throttle, and crank her over until fuel is spurting. (DO NOT let this high-pressure fuel hit your skin!!) When there are no bubbles, start tightening down the fittings on the lines. It should start after 3 or so fittings are tighened.
