You need to get the serial # from your tractor (look on tag on toolbox door)and have your parts priced out by a dealer. You need to price clutch plates, steel seperator plates, piston seals, sealing rings and gaskets.Find a dealer who has been in business awhile with a good staff in the parts dept. They will have acess to all the parts you need to do this repair.Get their price on these parts first. Then you should decide if you want to tackle this repair yourself. The I&T manual you need is# FO-201.You can get a phone# off this site and order it.It has all the info you need to troubleshoot and do this repair. You will need a set of stands to support the tractor to split it.(i made my own from flat plate, 4 inch pipe and a couple of 4 inch casters)They will attach to each side where the side plates come off.The only special tool you will need is a peice of pipe with a notch cut out of each side for compressing the piston spring. After compressing the spring in a press you reach in through the notch in the pipe and remove the snap-ring that holds the spring.(again i made my own)With the manual and these tools this is a pretty easy repair. The parts are somewhat expensive but maybe not too bad.Don't scrounge if it needs it put it in there and your repair will last. The dual power on this tractor was reliable and was mostly trouble free. Some were abused and some just gave out after thousands of hours of service.I don't think you will like your tractor without it.Clean everything up real well and blow all the oil passages out with compressed air when you do the rebuild. Then change the hydraulic oil and the filters on the tractor. If you feel you cannot do this job then get the dealer to give you a quote. He will be expensive, possibly more than the machine is worth. But it may come down to asking yourself how much it would cost to replace the tractor. If you can get the parts and do the work yourself the repair will be affordable. The reason i asked where you were was i did'nt know how far you were from me.I'm in North Alabama.A little too far to come help you!

Today's Featured Article - Product Review: Electronic Ignition - by Staff. Oil, for example has come a long way in the last 50 years and I don't use anything but the latest API grade available. I've heard the arguments for non-detergent oils but would never trade it for today's formulations. Paint is another, the modern acrylic enamels are great for resistance to grease and fuel stains, retaining their shine and they last forever; unlike enamels and lacquers . Still another is the alternator. No doubt using the original generator keeps the tractor pure, but for thos
