If you are saying your shifter is stuck in 2nd gear remove the oil fill cap on the shifter cover and using a long screw driver reach in there and try to slide the sliders so everything is lined back up in the neutral row. Once you get them lined up you should learn not to lift up on the shifter when changing gears as this is usually what causes the gears to get locked. When the shifter unit was new it did not have the slop that it now does so it (usually) couldn't get locked in gear when new.
