I have heard of this situation and have to side with the seller. While I know of both people, when deals like this turns, all you can do is get out of it as best you can, which the seller here did or tried to do. If the buyer does not cash a perfectly good check, shame on him. He was given an opportunity to get his money back and chose not to do so. He should not be entitled to interest and should only receive what he sent. To not only refuse to cash the check and then pursue this in a court type setting and then manage to get interest tacked on top is absolutely shameful. And I don't care who it is that is involved. If a deal goes bad, get your money back and find your parts somewhere else. Simple as that. To say that you are going to make someone's life a living hell and then follow through with that is pathetic. I side with the seller on this one.
