706 is built alot stronger. It has much larger bull pinions and bull gears. Not to mention it has a hydraulic TA verses the 666's mechanical TA that will free wheel on you when going down hill in the TA position. The 706 also offers you a wider variety of gears, 16 forward and 8 reverse, verses the 666's 10 forward and 2 reverse.
