Thanks for the answers. As for the Cub Cadet generator,I had oneburn out on my cadet af ew years ago. The repair shop said it is not designed to charge more than about 5 amps. After that Ijust used it as a starter and charged the battery once in awhile. I think I will probably coonvert toa small alternator. I guess I am not in any big hurry, as it hasn,t been charging good since I got the tractor over a year ago. I just stick a charger on the battery once in awhile, andin the winter I hook up a 1 amp charger overnight if it looks like snow. Seem to work but is kind of a pain. Thanks again.
