I have a 300 utility with live PTO and TA. The TA linkage is broken at the pivot rod and condition of TA is unknown and I have very little knowledge of them of other than hearing all the problems they have. My tractor is hard to shift with clutch pedal all the way down, Ta must still have pressure due to linkage broken and missing. If you stop tractor on incline or decline with clutch depressed completely it is almost impossible to shift.
So my question is this, can I split tractor and remove TA parts and have tractor operate as if never had a TA and will the live PTO operate correctly? Or is there a way to put pressure on TA without splitting tractor and still have pto and tractor operate properly.
