First off to save you time and money find someone that has the test fitting and a gauge to check pressure , if it is low then crank up the pressure to around 215- 230 and see if it holds . If it still slips then it is time for a clutch pac. The hyd. oil all comes from the same place so your good to go on that . You can also just try loosen the lock nut on the valve stem and give it a couple turns up into the linkage nut . But i would rather ya had a gauge on it before you just crank it.
