I enjoyed a pleasent Saturday of running a Farmall 400 disking until the Fast Hitch cylinder pin came out and dropped the hitch to the ground which popped the hitch pin on the disc, pull the hydralic hoses out of the coupler and pull apart the Farmhand oil reserve running to the pump on the pto. It was one of those days.
The only thing left to fix on the 400 to make it operate like its brand new is the wide front axle. The stay rod ball has been replaced by a bolt and it's not very tight so the front end wobbles.
Is the stay rod and the ball on the wide front threaded together, pushed or welded?
How hard is it to replace the front axle pivot bushings?
