The good: I took the rails apart, the end of the shifter is worn, but I got it un-jammed and it now shifts.
The Bad: When I put it back on, it seemed to run through the gears, however when I started it, and went to move, it would bog down and wouldn't move. I then put it in neutral and it went in reverse! So I backed it inside (which is really good news!) and I left it for today since it's been one of those days when nothing has gone right anyway.
So. Do I have the figures which move the gears messed up ? Does this all relate to the worn out shifter ? As always, advice appreciated.
