A couple ways to measure it's wear: If you measure width of the top of each tooth, a good gear will have 1/8" or more left on it. I have a worn out one which has only about 1/16" left on it. Also note whether the sides of the teeth are beginning to "curl" over especially on back side of the teeth. If you have that part#, and the gear has a good bushing, we can start talking about value. Do you know what tractor it came out of?
