They are not too bad if you are plowing downhill. A Cub, with wheel weights all around, was what I used as a boy in northern MA. I also had a couple hundred pounds on the drawbar.
A fully angled plow, necessary for wet snow, will barely clear a path wide enough for the tractor. That becomes a problem when turning. You will lose traction driving over the newly cast off snow.
The Cub can't handle more than six inches but that depends on the snow weight. You will need good brakes for traction and steering. You will also need a shovel to dig yourself out of the terminal snowbank at the end of the push if you try to "stack" the snow.
I used to envy the church next door who hired a local farmer. Two brothers would arrive with a M and H. Nothing stopped those tractors.
I'd never go back to using my Cub. I now use a MFWD 660 with a 8' blade. I'd like to find an 11' blade.
