First place to start is check to see if it has a good spark. Then check to make sure it has a good flow of gas by removeing the drain plug from the bottom of the carb. Then go from there. No spark it could be a bad condenser and or points or even a bad rotor. I've had more then one rotor go bad and when they do its a no go with the engine.Never throw parts at a problem till you find what the problem is because you can be adding more troubles to it before you find the problem
