The BN is a narrow B, the axle housings on each side are the same as on the right-hand side of the A whereas in a B they are 4 inches longer, i.e. a BN is 8 inches narrow than a B. The front is the same as a B with a tricycle arrangement. A lot of the BNs used a single front wheel instead of the dual wheels. A wide front axle was not available. The C corrected this. The problem with A and B was the difficulty in adjusting wheel track widths, resolved when the C appeared with long axles where the wheels could be slid out to whatever tread was required.
