John, you're more in the LP country than me, although I have had the opertunity to look at some SMTA LP. My question is can the code letters used for regular SM LP from IH factory on serial plate and at engine #, be Depended on when looking at SMTA that never rolled straight out of factory as LP? Haven't looked at any SMTA LP for a couple of years and memory getting shaky, but seem to remember that some or all that came from conversion batch only had letters D or E for high altittude pistons.
