Wardner, The clutch is not set up like the standard ones with a facing attached to a plate; but rather a sandwich assy of alternating metal and fibre discs. The metal discs have teeth on the inside, the fibre discs have teeth on their outside. I can think of two ways the clutch will slip: -1 is for the adjustment nut to be too loose (I think the spec was ~30-40lbs on the shift handle) so the plates actually slip on their surface; -2 is for the teeth on the outside of the fibre discs to get chewed off which is what happened on my Super M.
