Ken, I thought I could hear it running yesterday, but may have just been the rain I was hearing. I wouldn't get overly concerned about an occasional drip from the weep hole, not just yet anyhow. That weep hole is there to take care of any excess fuel or moisture condensation that is in the manifold pipe. If the float or needle valve were malfunctioning you would have gas dripping or running out of the carburetor air horn. However, it is possible that you have a small speck of rust lodged in the needle valve and seat, so it sure wouldn't hurt to drop the bowl off the carb and take a look.
