Most of ours (western NY) were on a 9 foot row, and mostly with a single cordon and the umbrella tying system. Umbrella has given way to no-tie now. Some were done in Geneva Double Curtain, which offsets one top wire 2 feet each side of the post. That made for a tight fit late in the season! My father did OK with a 240 Utility even in the GDC. Massey has pretty well taken over with their vineyard tractors (130 and 230 I think).
