I don't know why it would be used, have never seen one and missed seeing the one at Lebanon. However, there is a heavy duty ball bearing throwout bearing that I have seen listed somewhere in the distant past for use in this application. Again, why, I don't know. Any suggestions? On the Cub at one time there was a hydraulic creeper drive that required the clutch to remain disengaged as it drove the tractor through the PTO shaft but I have never seen or heard of anything like that for a M.
