BN won"t have a thermostat or a pressurized cooling system unless it was modified after the factory. Sounds like you need to flush out the radiator and the block. Take the bottom water inlet off and flush up in that lower block passage as best you can. Then flush down through from the top. If it still gets hot after that and the radiator is open, then you"ll probably need to go deeper into the block after sludge, rust and scale. Or maybe installing a water pump would help. A point on that thermosyphon cooling system: make sure the coolant level is up to within an inch or so of the neck of the radiator. That type of system needs to be full to work.
