The Heisler clutch housing will not have any IHC markings on it. The engine for the F-20 and Regular are interchangable, with the exception of the early Regulars, which did not have an Oil Filter. There are not many of these early Regulars around anymore. Is there no place to mount a filter on the magneto-side of the engine? The original engine may not have had an oil filter, but the replacement engine may have the mounts for it. If it has open steering gears it is definitely a Regular, unless the steering bolster was changed. My grandfather was planning to change his regular bolster to an F-20 bolster. It never happened and I have an extra F-20 bolster laying around. Also, does the tractor have a small fuel can between the steering wheel and the main fuel tank? This is a sure sign of a Regular. Many of the parts are interchangable between the Regular and F-20, depending upon year. During the past many decades, parts may have been swapped out to keep her running. this is the problem I have. Both my F-20 and Regular have the Heisler Gasoline manifold and the originals are nowhere to be found. My 1929 also has the enclosed brakes. Look at the Iconographix Farmall Regular Photo Archive. It has nothing but large original pictures of the Farmall regular from different years. This book was very helpfull for me. E-mail me if you have any other questions.

Today's Featured Article - Gatherin of the Orange - by Rick Nikolich. In July of 1998 I was talking to fellow Allis Chalmers collector Mike Schilling about the annual "Gathering of The Orange" AC show coming up in August of 1999. He got this wild idea that we should get a convoy of AC tractors and drive them from Charlotte, Michigan 105 miles to LaGrange, Indiana. ... [Read Article]
