Put a big breaker bar or whatever you have that fits in the slot (with the tractor in gear) and unscrew it.It might be kind of tight but should break loose ok. Remove and check the shaft where the seal has been riding, the old seal may have cut a groove in the shaft.If it has mine had enough room where the seal sits to put it in a different depth so the seal is not riding in the groove.
