Putting 30 wt oil in the touch control may not be the best thing. It is not designed for 30 wt oil, won't help your leak much and may cause slow action due to the screen in the system causing pressure drop to the pump. If the seal in the pump is bad, oil can get into the engine crankcase that way. The level should be to the bottom of the fill hole with the rockshaft arms all the way to the rear (cylinders retracted). You can buy 8 volt batteries. I assume an auto parts house such as NAPA can get them. I've never used one and you don't need it if all else is in good condition.
