Marc: I guess you didn't get your answer. Yes the front ends on H and M are the same, however the original equipment front end for an M and a Super H were different. To your question yes they will inter change. All supers from factory had ty-rods behind axle. The older ones had ty-rods out front. You also see a number of the older axles on supers, probably sold new on narrow front. There were a lot of the old style front ends new, and never been used kicking around dealers storage buildings in the 1950s. A lot of the dealers kept 1 or 2, weren't confident narrow fronts would sell. In areas long distance from IH factories, they like to ship those tractors on rail flat cars with narrow fronts, could get more on a railcar.
