The front cylinder changes the angle of the Fast Hitch, effectively giving it a lot more travel for a backblade or posthole digger, also lets you fine tune the angle of a plow or cultivator without fooling with the rigid part of the implement hitch. I don't think all 300's had it but I really don't know.
