I know that the Farmall 300's used double hydralic cylinders on the fast hitch while the Farmall 350 and up used a single cylinder. But I was wondering what the second cylinder on the 300 fast hitch did differently than the 350 and up versions. Was the 300's second cylinder for more lift power or for some leveling adjustment. I've never seen the fast hitch up close on a 300. What was the operational difference between the 300 and 350 and up other than draft control. Also did draft control really help for plowing when set up properly. Also on another subject, I resurfaced the brake housing's and the inner disc's a certain way with my metal lathe and put in new brake disc lining, Now my Farmall 300 (with calcium filled tires and wheel weights) stops like it has power brakes no matter what I'm pulling. I figured other Farmall owners out there with the disc type brakes would find this interesting. Thanks Ray in PA.
