Paul, that is a very nice looking truck. Couple of comments. I think if it has a V8 engine, it can't be original. I don't think chevy had a V8 until the mid 50s. Also, search on E bay for 1949 chevrolet truck. I bet you will find several and that will give you an idea of the worth. From the looks of it, I think it's likely worth the asking price. I would hate the non original V8 engine though.
