Start with a good tune up,i.e. points plugs,just to take the variables out of the way.If you want to spend more go for a 300 head and manifold and carb.Then if you still have excess$$$$$ go for bore and stroke job. Going back to step one one tune carb and timing on a dyno unless you have a magic ear for engine tuning!!!
