I got a 184 a few years ago that had a 59" woods deck that was low on power so I started playing with it ,first set the valves ,rebuilt the carb.,seting the govener helped the most,also put on Dennys wires,coil,eletrontic inc.kit and it did a great job.Last winter I put a 60" cub cadet deck under it and for some reason it pulls that with high lift blades like it has twice the horsepower thru anything.
