Hello Chris, ----- 16 / Aug. / 2002 ----- There is at least opitions that can be taken here; 1. Get the SERIAL NUMBER (and PREFIX LETTERS) off of the engine. (All engines that IH ever made has a SERIAL NUMBER.) 2. Go for the PARTS NUMBERS off of the block and run a cross referance from a parts catalog. IH of Germany and IH of England did NOT make a #294 engine. I asume that your talking about a 6 cylinders - gas engine - correct?? There is a # 298 / 6 cylinders (GAS) engine in a International T-40 crawler. Regards, Milton
