The A & B are basicly the same tractor with the A being a one row cultivator and the B two. Same engine, transmission, final drives & other parts. The A has a wide front end and narrow rear, the B is a narrow front with a wide rear. A BN is the same as a B except the rear end is 8 inches narrower than a B, but still wider than an A. A's & B's were made from '39 to '47. In '48 the A was replaced by the Super A & the B was replaced by the C. The differences between the A & Super A are mainly the Super A has a couple more horsepower and hydraulics. All rugged, tough little tractors, but subject to the same issues as all tractors. Look for signs of use, misuse and abuse. Look at the engine block on the left side, behind the carburator for signs of freeze damage. Should start easily, run smooth with out exhaust smoke. Good Luck!
