WOOOW! How rude! Keep your shirt on Steven. Better sit back and have a glass of ice water and take a few slow deep breaths. If you prefer to try hotter spark plugs first then have at it. I'm certainly not stopping you.

I'm not really sure what to make of your bizarre infatuation with my name. You're not some sort of online stalker are you? Here's a little tip that perhaps you are unaware of. Most of those online names you see are not REAL names. For example; Farmall Flogger isn't REALLY named Mr. Flogger. Just as you would look quite foolish calling Farmall Flunkie--Mr Flunkie. They're not REALLY their names Steve. You see it's just an aspect of their online personna with virtually no affect on whether what they have to post is actually insightful information or not. No need to get all hung up over it and lose your cool. I must confess that your strange fascination with my name gives me reason for pause. Perhaps it's just better if you call me Mr "Jones". And my lovely assistant here, you can refer to as Miss "Smith". I'm not really sure just how that will lend any credence to your next diatribe on the matter of spark plugs vs. gas caps, but this is an online forum my simple friend and you can wish me all the ill will you want--it will have no affect.

I'll tell you what though. Perhaps I could assuage your irascible temper with a small offering. I happen to have one of those vented gas caps that you so zealously covet. It's new, unused and still in the box. I'd be willing to give it to you. Why don't you fly out here. We have no guest room so you'll have to spend the night in a hotel. I don't like to drive to the big city and most especially the aiport so of course you'll have to rent a car to drive out here to my house. A matter of--oh say about 45 miles. I can show you my tractors and we can shoot the breeze and swap a few stories before you have to head back and board your return flight. It should be a pleasant way to spend an hour or so and I really look forward to it. The trip should be well worth your time however--keep in mind...the gas cap is yours free.

Today's Featured Article - Gatherin of the Orange - by Rick Nikolich. In July of 1998 I was talking to fellow Allis Chalmers collector Mike Schilling about the annual "Gathering of The Orange" AC show coming up in August of 1999. He got this wild idea that we should get a convoy of AC tractors and drive them from Charlotte, Michigan 105 miles to LaGrange, Indiana. ... [Read Article]
