Hello all, I could really use the experience and wisdom of this groups members on the subject of my Cub's carb. Last spring when I filled up the tractor with fuel, gas started dripping from the air intake and around the seals(The tractor had been parked for a couple of years and I suspect it may have been leaking before). Well I took it off and had a kit put in. Stll leaked and had it cheked again. No resolution. Did not have the oppertunity to work on it again until just recently. Thought it might just be the float mis-set. Took it to local Case dealer. Was informent that carb is warped and can't be fixed. Was told that new one (apparently original, no aftermaket) would cost approx. $425 Cdn. The tractor is a 1950 FCUB. My first question is what options do I have on replacement. Is it better to look for second hand parts, rebuilds, is there not an aftermarket carb? What are your experiences with what you have done? Pro and con? Thanks very much Rick
