Honestly, that little spring would not, should not, cause that type of problem. All that little spring does, is hold a baffle open to heat the intake manifold. I'd like to tell you first try and run some radiator flush. Double the package dose and run for 20 - 25 minutes and drain out. If real dirty do it again. Usually takes to cleanings. Worst case you've blown a head gasket. Simple Fix: Could possibly come from not getting enough air if I can assume you're using your snow blower in reverse. Tony460
