We have a 41 H and pulled a 7 ft bush hog with no problem. What you MUST have is a overrun PTO clutch. Your PTO size will be 1 1/8 and most PTO equipment need 1 3/8 shaft. You can buy a 1 1/8 to 1 3/8 overrun clutch for your tractor. Best place to fine one is at a Ford tractor store. All the old fords had a 1 1/8. If you don"t have the overrun clutch, the bush hog will act like a fly wheel and push you into a place you don't want to be.
