I have a Briggs & Stratton 18HP, opposed cylinder engine in my riding lawn mower. The metal valve seat came out of the aluminum casting on one of the cylinders. The manual says the seat can be pounded back in but the old one fits loosely. I've heard you can peen the aluminum around the seat to try and hold it in but does not always hold. I'm considering using JB weld or some other epoxy for the job. Does anybody have any suggestions or experience on this? Any help would be appreciated.
