We had an H that had a knock. We took the pan off and checked the bearings and couldn't find anything wrong. Turned out to be the same problem as Ross had. The screw on the choke plate came out and was sucked into the engine. It would only knock under certain conditions as it was a brass screw and would sometimes stick to the aluminum piston. I looked through the spark plug holes and found it in one of the cylinders. I used a screwdriver with some grease on the end to retrieve it. Roger
