John, what were you in the process of when you had to re-align it? Only installing new bearings? Are you certain that the shavings are coming from the bull and pinion gears? Is there any way that something is rubbing or binding in one of the bearings? I'm going on my experience with GM rearends and what little I have done to my M, which was the pilot shaft and most all bearings in rearend and trans..
