Farmall H Choke Closes

After runnung a few minutes the choke on my H consistently vibrates closed enough to run rough. Has any one encountererd this problem and is there any obvious fix? Should there be a spring to hold it open? If so how do you keep it choked when cold? Thanks for the response.
