Bobcat uses the best grade of hydraulic oil available, I've not had any trouble with the tractor/hydraulic I buy at my local place, but it is a few dollars more per bucket than the cheap stuff. Chain case also takes hydraulic oil and your on the right track to drain the chain case, it's just a plug that when pushed inside a rubber grommet makes the grommet expand enough to seal the hole, I usually pop them out with a pair of wire cutters or anything that it thin enough to get behind the small head of the plug and allow some leverage to get it to come out. Alot of times if the rubber piece comes out as well it will probably be deformed enough that you will have a heck of a time getting it back in there, no sealant is needed.
