Joe, Thanks for the info. I am new to the tractor world, so bear with me. Torque Tube? Is this right around the bell housing? aka hydraulics? Unfortunately I think the transmission dipstick is not the original one either?? There is one notch on it near the bottom which I think marks when you are almost dry (about the 2-3 gallon mark). Engine has the oil filter, so 5qts it is. Steering box was full. So you are saying that for Late VA Series tractors you can not simply subtract the 4 years from the 60 serial #?? Good thing Case made determining the year so top secret. Thanks again. Mark
