my sons 930 diesel uses 4 times as much oil over same time ,, but we know it is wore out ...Still Starts Good and has tons of power,, thanx to LUCAS everything. ,, When that beast is idled back the motor is so wore out the pistons could swap holes .. LOL ..I would try as one poster suggests ,, 30 wt oil ,, and use Lucas ,,. could be that the Po of the 1030 Motor Has been run hard and put up wet for FAR too long like the 930 here,,. But then Again,,if a engine is trained to run on certain oils ,,They Could REVOLT when changed to another brand ,,. The longtime IHC dealer here that has adopted Case Very well ,,.
