Rod, I already sent my old pump back for the core price. I am pretty confident the old pump was weak becase I had problems with every implement once the tractor warmed up. Soon as you started the engine, it would work fine, but as the oil came up to operating temp, the would get weaker and weaker. I disasembled the old pump and looked at it,and it had lots of wear and groves and gouged in it. One thing that also has me puzzled is when I changed the filters, I found a little tiny spring, about .250" in diameter and an inch or so long in the bottom of the filter canister. Any ideas where that could have came from? I have only had this tractor for a couple of years and haven't put over 100 hrs on it. So I don't know anything about it's past.
