first lets work on the trans issue, I will guess you had the trans shifter off when doing the repairs, I am thinking you missed getting one of the shift forks into the shift collar when installing the shifter cover( it is still in gear even though the shifter says its not) easy to do, as to the pressure on the case-o-matic, it should drop to zero when stepping on the clutch pedal, this can be caused by the linkage being out of adjust ment for starters, unhook the linkage from the pedal and move the spool by hand to the detents each direction and then check eachway to see if the pedal is moving it both ways to full detent position, this will give you some thing to start with, I can scan my service manual if we need more info for you let me know what you find cnt
