Bob I have been down this path recently and it was a very expensive lesson.
I bought what I thought was a very cherry 1370 case. The first thing that I did was change all fluids.
The oil I used is a name brand oil that is listed for the case application. Within 60 hours I started losing the fiber disks in the power-shift less than 20 hours later the brakes disks went.
In the end I had to replace every fiber disk in the tractor.
Yes the new oil meets the specs for the Case but it dissolved the glue in the fiber disks.
Because your tractor is an old 830 Case-o-matic that has had Hytran in it before I would suggest that you DO NOT CHANGE TO ANOTHER BRAND.
If this was straight 30 series I would say probably yes but not a Case-O-Matic that has had Hytran in it before.
My fear is the new oil although it has the same rating will have a detergent in it that will eat-up your Case-o-matic clutch plates and maybe your seals.
It cost me $5000 to fix all of my problems, yes I found a couple of other issues that were unrelated but it was a very costly lesson and I done all the work
