Best I can tell there is no throw out bearing on the hand clutch. There is a brass shifting collar. I am trying to change one right now for a 88 year old friend. What happened to his is the brass wore out and just slips on and off the mechanisim that ingages and disingages the clutch. Sorry for the bad spelling Kim needs to put a spell checker on the website ( just a bit of humer) Good luck with it.
