I am transforming an old Minneapolis Moline 4bt plow to a 3 bottom. It was a 3pt type with a hydraulic raised wheel behind it too. I took the 3pt off, and am making the rockershaft, with the lift arms, depth handcrank, and the flat metal that hooks up to where the drawbar is. So my question finally is with the hydraulic hand positioning lever. I have the pump set right I think. Such as the drawbar link, the little turn screw is free, the hold valve knob is into the body, seperating the plates. The knob way to the front, is all the way out. And the knob by the hold valve is up against the stop. Step 2 about where to set the hand control is a complete mystery. All I know is to the top of the quadrant is where it raises. Now is that where it is suppose to stay when in transit, or somwhere else? Also I read in the tractor manual, that you drop the plow and start plowing(the depth crank and the wingings already set)then slowly start to raise the hand lever to take up the slack in the links? In other words I need some light to lighten my dark problem. Any info about the pump/hand control lever/ or my project, and your opinions about it, good or bad, please leave a reply. Thanks!
