On the pto, when the big lever is back, the clutch is disengaged and the throw out bearing is holding the clutch fingers forward, just like when you hold your foot on a clutch pedal. the lever needs to stay in the engaged position at all times unless you are using the pto and want to stop it momentarily to open a baler gate or something similar. I had to put a clutch in a 6060 because the fingers had worn out by leaving the clutch disengaged. Just pretend the hand lever is a clutch pedal, if you don't want the pto on, push the lever down that's on the left side next to the seat. That puts it out of gear. Nice tractors, for the money.
