I have not done this specific job, but here are some details. --FIrst, the turque tube bell housing has to match the motor rear face. If not, you have to have a plate machined with two sets of holes so each unit will bolt to the plate. --second, the shafts from the motor and transmission (clutch) have to be in alignment, so the plate needs to be manufactured on a mill or lathe, or similare to hold close tolerances. ---next, you have to decide what clutch your going to use ? You would need the flywheel and starter off the diesel, and what clutch? If you use the diesel clutch, will it fit inside the bell housing ? What about the transmission input shaft, how does it pilot into the end of the crank shaft ? Pilot bushing size ? Is the shaft too short with the adaptor plate installed ? Does the original throw out bearing in the bell housing line up with the new clutch fingers ? This takes several days of layout, planning and machinine to make it work.
