Up here in western Manitoba, we"re still under a blizzard warning, the snow has nearly stopped (at least i hope this is all we get), down to the low 20"s overnight and with the wind chill nearer to 0F. I"n not sure how much snow actually fell, but i have drifts 10ft high by my cattle shelters, and the snow is too deep to get the 4x4 truck out of my yard (and i thought i was done plowing snow for this year)
Up until this happened Friday evening and yesterday, the melt was done, and the fields starting to dry although lots of water standing still, might have been a couple of weeks before we got on the land, now i guess it will be longer...
Most years here we mange to start just about now in the fields, last year was much earlier, so i guess this is payback for last year...
